We are delighted to showcase Inglewood Guest House with our Commitment to Excellence Award.
Inglewood Guest House is located in Sandown on the Isle of Wight, just a short walk to the beach and local attractions. If you’re looking for a winter getaway or planning next summer’s break, you’ll be assured of a warm welcome from owners Jon and Justine.
The large Victorian B&B has been thoroughly modernised for a comfortable stay and is ideal for families, couples and solo travellers. There are eight guest rooms: three family rooms, one small double, two twin rooms- which can be opened up as a joining room for families and a further two single rooms. Most rooms are on the first floor, except one family room and one single room which are situated on the ground floor. All of the rooms, except one of the family rooms, are ensuite, adding comfort and convenience for all guests.
The B&B breakfast is certainly something to write home about: Full English Breakfast, with vegetarian and vegan options and cereals, juices, yogurts, muffins and more. All dietary requirements are catered for in the warm, cosy dining area.
Inglewood has a long tradition as a popular guesthouse, spanning back 85 years and the property itself dates back to approximately 1900. Jon and Justine have been proud owners at Inglewood for eight years and enjoy welcoming guests to the beautiful Isle of Wight, with its stunning sandy beaches, iconic music festivals, Blackgang Chine: the world’s oldest theme park, medieval lighthouse and famous landmarks like The Needles.
We ask Justine what sets Inglewood apart from other B&Bs in the area:
“We offer a comfortable stay and a delicious breakfast every time. We are friendly hosts with many repeat visitors. Over the years, we have won several awards – VisitEngland’s ROSE Award for Service Excellence, and TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award for consecutive years since 2019 to date. This year, we were delighted to be finalists in this year’s Red Funnel Awards. After being runners-up for many years, this summer we were proudly awarded winners of The Sandown in Bloom competition for our beautiful front garden display.”
Guests on TripAdvisor have left five-star glowing reviews, praising the wonderful, welcoming hosts, delicious breakfasts, lovely guesthouse, fantastic location and an overall great place to stay:
“We came for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of London and relaxed completely. With friendly hosts, comfortable beds, clean rooms, free wi-fi, good old fashioned customer service and a delicious breakfast – what more could you ask for from a B&B?”
