We are delighted to select The National Forest Adventure Farm with our Commitment to Excellence Award.
The National Forest Adventure Farm is on Postern House Farm near Burton Upon Trent in Staffordshire. Established in 2004 with the first National Forest Maize Maze, the summer maize will be celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year. The farm has been owned by the Robinson family for over fifty years and in 2011 diversified further as an all-year round attraction.
With a whole host of ‘must-see’ attractions such as the outdoor paddock, indoor barn, outdoor adventure, indoor fun, summer maize maze and events throughout the year, it is the perfect day out, come rain or shine for the whole family.
The special events include Easter Eggstravaganza, Halloween evening Screamfest and Christmas North Pole Adventure.
For families looking for some May half-term fun, the whole farm will be transformed into a Jurassic paradise for Dino Week- perfect for any budding palaeontologists!
The summer holidays mean just one thing: Farmarama on the farm- families can look forward to beach-themed fun and explore the Maize Maze from the 22 July – 4th September.
We caught up with Shannon Robinson: Marketing Manager to find out more about what the farm has to offer,
“This is something for everyone at The National Forest Adventure Farm. Our outdoor paddocks have chicken, sheep, Shetland ponies, donkeys, cows, Shire horses, goats and alpacas. On entry, you can buy small tubs of animal feed for your little ones to feed the animals.
The tractor ride takes you a fun tour of the farm and you’ll see our reindeers, having a well-earned rest before their important duties with Father Christmas over Christmas!
If it’s rainy or you fancy seeing our spring lambs, pop to the indoor barn to see piglets, goat kids, chicks, guinea pigs, rabbits, pygmy goats and chinchillas.
If your little ones need to let off steam, there’s lots to explore in the outdoor adventure and indoor fun areas.”
Slide down the mega slide mountain: the UK’s largest outdoor slide, try your luck on the 9-hole adventure golf course, bounce sky high on the jumping pillows, try out your fossil-hunting skills in the Jurassic Canyon, scale the heights in the assault course, or have a friendly family competition in the formula one pedal go karts. The indoor barn has a play barn, drop slide, brickworks and under 5’s play zone.
When it’s time for a break, there is a wide choice of hot food on-site in Hungry Joe’s Diner, Cattle Grid Street Food, Crumpet’s Grill or enjoy an ice cream on a hot summer’s day at Crumpet’s ice cream parlour.
