In this issue of Weddings & Special Occasions, we are delighted to showcase We All Love Cake with our Commitment to Excellence Award.
Wedding cakes are symbolic of the lucky couple’s love and commitment and act as a centrepiece at the reception. Many themed weddings decorate the cake with paired colours, flowers or couple’s personality.
Baking extraordinaire Grace Marshall is the owner of We All Love Cake and designs and bakes dairy, soya, nut and gluten-free wedding cakes. There is an option to make the cake egg-free, making the cake suitable for vegans. From two, to four-tiered wedding cakes, with cascading flowers, to whimsical cake toppers, each cake is as unique as each couple.
The wedding cakes are available in the following ten delicious flavours: classic Victoria sponge, creamy vanilla, rich chocolate, melt-in-the-mouth coffee, zesty lemon, rich traditional fruit cake, fresh chocolate orange, moist carrot, sweet salted caramel, and indulgent mint chocolate.
Wedding couples can book a free personal consultation and pick four different flavours to taste, offered with a choice of tea, coffee or celebratory champagne. During the consultation, themes and colour schemes are discussed, to help plan the wedding cake of your dreams.
Couples will also receive sketches of the wedding cakes to help them visualise the cake before the big day.
“We offer a three-tiered cake selection: small wedding cakes for intimate, small weddings, buttercream cakes for slightly larger weddings and finally our showstopper traditional large cakes to make a statement.
Our most popular flavour is carrot cake, however is does depend on the couple and the season. Popular spring and summer wedding cakes tend to be fresher, lighters flavours such as lemon and Victoria sponge. During the winer months, couples opt for more traditional chocolate and fruit cakes. Dessert tables at weddings are becoming more fashionable and you can have a mixture of different flavours, and types of sweet treats.
All cakes are baked the day before any event, this way we ensure all cakes are as fresh as possible. All ingredients are easily sourced from well-known UK or European suppliers: making sure they are compliant with to strict food safety standards and follow all food and production laws.
Our kitchen is completely, dairy, soya, nut and gluten free, and we do not allow any of these ingredients in to our kitchen –so we can guarantee there will be no cross contamination.” explains Grace.
