Looking further ahead, Wedding laws may soon change after a government consultation ending on 24 September 2026. The aim is to make getting married easier and give couples more choice. These changes could allow weddings to focus less on the venue and more on the person leading the ceremony, with fairer rules for different types of weddings which is really exciting.”
