In this issue of Community Update, we are pleased to award Grasstechnology for its Commitment to Excellence.
Grasstechnology is an agricultural machinery and technology company specialising in innovative grassland management solutions that enable farmers to gain more productive acres from feeding grass. The company is famed for its embrace of zero grazers as a more efficient way for dairy farmers to manage their grass, increase profits and cut costs while feeding their herds; becoming a driving force in their widespread adoption across Europe.
Today Grasstechnology design, manufacture, and supply advanced machinery aimed at improving efficiency, forage quality and overall farm performance. Headquartered in Ireland, the company serves customers across the UK, Europe and in international markets, working directly with farmers, agricultural contractors and agri-businesses focused on grass-based systems, dairy production and efficient forage management.
As well as its sector defining zero grazers, the company also manufactures slurry tankers, dribble bars, trailing shoes and drill seeders. Each product is designed and manufactured in the company’s Co. Carlow facility, where Grasstechnology continues to push the boundaries of agricultural engineering.
Alongside machinery, Grasstechnology provides technical support, aftersales service and on-farm guidance to ensure customers get the best possible results from its equipment. Martin Fox, UK Sales Manager, said this unique blend of engineering and support is a key market differentiator for the company.

This commitment to innovation paired with impeccable support was recently recognised with the Research, Innovation and Technology Award at the 2024 Carlow Business Awards, for the world’s first zero grazer with liquid fertilizer spreader at the rear. A landmark achievement for the storied Irish engineering company.
With new product developments, further refinement of existing machinery and continued expansion into international markets, including North America, 2026 is set to be an exciting year for Grasstechnology. We asked Martin how it felt to win the award,
