Born from a natural passion for flowers, where she would create bouquets for close friends and family weddings, Amy Smith created Flowers by Amy over two years ago, but since January has invested everything into growing the business full time.
With several weddings already booked for 2022, alongside funerals and many bookings for 2023, we asked Amy what her inspiration behind the company is, she answered. “I decided that it made sense to take the plunge and go full time with Flowers by Amy and having the full support of my friends and family made it much easier. Most of my year will revolve around weddings, but come Christmas I’m busy making door wreaths, arrangements and gifts, as well as preparing for local Christmas Markets in my area. I also provide farewell flowers for funerals and I always feel privileged to be chosen to create the perfect final gift, whether it be a full casket spray or a small arrangement to travel alongside the coffin.”
Amy’s primary business comes from Wedding’s where she currently has dates in 2023 and 2024 available. “Weddings are really popular for the business as flowers are one of the main focal points of someone’s big day. Most people set their themes around the flowers they like. I really enjoy building on people’s ideas and helping them to achieve the vision they have dreamed of for their big day,” said Amy.
Based in the heart of Cerne Abbas, Amy offers one of the most bespoke wedding floristry services in Dorset. From the initial consultation, Amy will work with you to ensure fresh flowers for your wedding encompass every style and tradition of wedding and venue imaginable. “I love sitting down with a family, listening to their ideas and looking through their inspiration pictures to build a plan. I then take all the information and build a flower mood-board. Once this is agreed I then provide a free quote,” stated Amy.
From flowers for the bridal party, bouquets, buttonholes, flower wands, right through to table centres, pedestals, milk churns and archways filled with blooms, Flowers by Amy is confident in serving you a perfectly decorated day.
