High-end care company providing person-centred dignity

Community Update values the importance of the care sector and would like to congratulate SpringCare on showing Commitment to Excellence.

SpringCare is a group of Carehome recommended residential and nursing homes in Shropshire, Cheshire and The Wirral specialising in day care, nursing, dementia, respite and palliative care for elderly residents. Macie Cox Marketing Executive tells us more

“Springcare have 15 homes, with the 16th refurbished one from January 2023 in beautiful locations such as country style homes and purpose-built buildings. Most sites have beautiful gardens with picturesque scenery to look out on. Some of our homes cater for learning difficulties, EMI units and also younger adults with physical disabilities. We pride ourselves on offering a wide range of wellbeing activities interwoven with personalised care.”

The recent Channel 4 documentary “Old People’s home for 4 year olds,” highlighted the sheer joy that interaction with young children can bring to the older generation. With this in mind SpingCare organises regular visits from nursery-aged children to visit the elderly residents. SpingCare organises activities from resident-run shops, day trips, pony visits, and regular entertainers. Families are encouraged to visit as often as they like and are encouraged to eat meals alongside residents. For the respite care there is even a carer’s bed available at Bucklow Manor Care Home for close contact.

In 2016 Judy Freeman won the Carer Award at the Provide of Shropshire for the wonderful, stimulating activities she organised at River Meadow Nursing Home in Shropshire. Each home produces a regular lovely newsletter welcoming new residents and staff alongside a listing of upcoming events and activities. Macie illustrates the sheer range of activities provided

“Springcare commit to excellence and believe that our homes should be a home from home. Friendships are encouraged within the homes between service users which we feel is a massive benefit to their wellbeing. Personal care needs are taken care of by our fabulous team of staff which residents become familiar and comfortable with. We are their helping hand.”

In concerted efforts to becoming more sustainable SpringCare has committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2035. With solar panelling across many homes, biomass heating systems, ground source heat pumps and electric cars, SpringCare is well on track.

SpringCare is delighted to receive our award and adds,

“We want to mention our amazing, hardworking team of staff, the amount of praise they all get from service users and families is incredible and they do such a brilliant job in changing peoples’ lives for the better with a smile on their face.”
