In this issue of Community Update, we are pleased to award Tiny Tails Dog Training for its Commitment to Excellence.
Tiny Tails Dog Training was established in 2025 by Laura Davies. Laura’s background in animal care and behaviour, alongside hands-on experience working with guide dogs, gave her invaluable insight into structured training, patience and the importance of clear communication between dog and handler.
“I saw how many owners were struggling, not due to a lack of care, but because they didn’t have the right support or guidance.” Laura explains, “I wanted to build a service that felt personal, approachable, and truly tailored to both the dog and the owner.”
The core focus of Tiny Tails is its one-to-one dog training. The company works with a variety of dogs, from young puppies to older dogs, and supports owners at all stages of their journey. From basic training to more complex behavioural challenges, every plan is tailored to the individual dog and owner, using positive, reward-based methods.
Based in Chester, but offering a mobile service within a 10-mile radius, Tiny Tails delivers training in the client’s home or another familiar environment. This helps dogs feel more comfortable and allows training to be more effective in real-life situations.
“By working in the dog’s natural environment, I can address behaviours where they actually happen.” says Laura. “I also focus on building trust and confidence through positive methods, ensuring both the dog and owner feel supported throughout.”
This focus on mutual supportive partnerships between the dog, its owners and Tiny Tails, is central to the company’s ethos. Laura is continually expanding her knowledge through a wide range of qualifications in canine behaviour, nutrition and holistic care, to ensure this partnership model flourishes.
“I also provide personalised training plans following consultations, along with ongoing support and helpful resources.” explains Laura. “This means owners feel confident continuing training between sessions, and working with their dogs.”
Tiny Tails is about more than just training dogs. By supporting owners, building confidence and helping create strong, lasting relationships between dogs and their families, Tint Tails is proving every dog has the ability to learn and thrive with the right guidance and support.
