Party in the Park is a free, family-friendly event for all ages, organised by Newton Abbot Town Council in partnership with Newton Abbot Rotary.
On Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July 2025 at Courtenay Park, there will be festivities running from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm each day. The weekend will be packed with fun activities, live entertainment, and plenty of attractions for the whole family to enjoy.
We caught up with Natalie Hicks, Events Co-ordinator, who gave us a preview of some of the exciting highlights planned for both days:
“The Saturday boasts many elements from stalls, demonstrations from local groups, music and kid’s activities but the new attraction this year is the Dog show which we hope is a success and is well received.
The Sunday will be focused around live local music with three different groups performing on the bandstand stage. New for the Sunday is the presence of the local youth centre SPACE who will be offering activities for teens to get involved.”
Newton Abbot Town Council prides itself on community involvement, bringing together as many local groups as possible to showcase the best local musical talents within the region. On Saturday, there will be 28 stalls from many different local charity groups and businesses, but the main feature will be showcasing local music talent and will include performances from The Rock Choir and Taiko drummers. There will also be workshops taking place by the local youth council, and Enu Graffiti workshops with Joe Webster.
Sunday will shine an even bigger spotlight on live music, with performances from talented local bands including Spectrum Music Concert Band at 2:30 pm, The Chance, and Quotient. Alongside the music, there will be plenty of exciting activities for all ages, such as a bungee run, VR games, and circus skills workshops, led by the local youth group, SPACE.
This is going to be a really fun, memorable, and exciting event that showcases the very best of Newton Abbot talent. Perfect for friends, families, and even dogs, the event is a celebration, offering a true sense of community spirit.
