Cliverton is a multi-award-winning insurance company and is proudly celebrating its Golden Anniversary this year.
We spoke to Senior Account Handler at Cliverton, Emma Rogerson-Gleave Dip CII, to find out more about this leading company,
“We are a schemes broker – which means that we work closely with our insurer partners to offer exclusive policies specially designed for our customer’s needs. Cliverton are rated world class according to our 2022 Net Promoter Survey – with over 84% of our customers likely to recommend us to a friend and 99%-100% of our customers surveyed were satisfied with our service.
We offer specialist insurance for those taking part in animal and rural trades – livery yards, riding schools, equestrian businesses, freelance instructors and freelance grooms, gamekeepers and deer stalkers, shoot and shoot syndicates, shooting club insurance, clay pigeon shooting insurance, smallholdings and hobby farms, as well as policies for those working with animals such as dog walkers and pet groomers.
Our most popular policies are for those looking for cover for their smallholding or hobby farms, closely followed by livery yards, whether it’s full livery offered or just DIY/grass. Our Small Animal Team also help thousands of dog walkers, pet minders and pet groomers all over the country ensure the animals they look after are protected.
We’ve been working recently with the insurer Markel to introduce new competitive rates of cover for our equine customers; especially livery yards and riding schools.
Cliverton has also been helping to raise standards of welfare across the industry, and are happy to support our clients with the burden of health and safety risk assessments to make sure the likelihood of a claim is minimal.
We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service – it’s at the heart of everything we do at Cliverton.”
Most of the 22-strong staff members have either already completed or are progressing through their professional qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Insurance.
“With a high level of staff either owning animals or working with them in a wide variety of roles ranging from: livery yards, vets, pest control and equine groomers, we can demonstrate empathy for our clients’ needs – we most certainly know their world!”
In 2003, the company amalgamated with the Lycetts Group, benefitting from the membership whilst still holding a separate company identity. The Lycetts Group is part of the Benefact Group: a group of specialised financial services companies, which proudly donate all available profits to numerous charities. It is currently the third largest corporate donor in the world, with Cliverton’s customers contributing to this great act of fiscal philanthropy.
