Community Update is proud to announce that Synthesize Events has been chosen to receive our Commitment to Excellence Award.
Synthesize Events was set up by Michael Duncan two years ago, having been DJ-ing since the age of 13. Michael started out doing private events, such as children’s parties and social club events, all the while saving up to get better equipment and stay up to date with the latest music.
As his skills and experience developed, he started becoming more interested in the sound and lighting side of his business, working on improving his set up to provide even better services for his clients. After working for a company specialising in lighting and sound installation, Michael got the opportunity to play in bars and clubs around the country, bettering his understanding of mixing music.
Through practice and hard work, Michael improved his technique to make his mixes more professional and of better quality. Now, Synthesize Events provides services at any event. “I do any event. Weddings, birthdays, parties, anything to do with entertainment and I’ll be there to help make it fun! I always like to go that extra mile for my customers and I’m focused on their happiness, so anything they need from me, I will try to do as much as I can.”
Over the years, Michael’s set ups have become bigger and better, and from his experience working in bars and clubs, he has started interacting with the crowd at events, making sure he’s bringing a vibe that matches the occasion.
Based in Eastbourne, Michael works across the UK and abroad. “I’ve worked in nightclubs in Greece, and I got to work on a cruise ship around the Mediterranean for two weeks, that was fun!” Indeed, the fact Michael has events booked right up until 2020 is a testament to the quality of his services and dedication to his customer’s happiness. “I’m always working to improve my set up. I like to be different from everyone else, so I’m constantly making sure I’m offering the best services that I can. I want to give the wow factor!”
